BioThere are three things that define me; my marriage, my thirst for knowledge and my quirky some what whimsical POV.
On the 18th of May in 1980, I had the great, good wisdom to marry Ellen Elizabeth (Beth) McLawhorn. We have been happily married ever since. She is the best wife in the world. I am completely devoted to her.
We met in August 79, we started dating in November, we dated for two weeks before I asked her to marry me, she said yes, in May 80 we were married, we have been married for all of this time and never once considered giving up
You know it is a simple thing to say you're happy in your marriage, but with us it's as true as it can be. We are what the French call an "old couple", destined to be together for life. No matter where we go or what we do we are two souls bound inextricably together. She IS my best friend to the point where we spend all of our time together. You know how when you are first in love and you come around the corner and see the person your heart leaps a bit, well that's what happens to me when I see Beth after 27+ years.
Learning is of paramount importance. I never stopped active learning when I left school.
